This is an impossible category to include under the heading of shopping really, but I shall struggle on valiantly. Clearly there are tons of vegan foods, like… errr… vegetables, fruits, legumes, pulses, grains, etc. What I’m going to list here are vegan version of the foods that we may, whether new or long-time vegans, struggle sometimes to omit from the diet, or get by without when cooking, baking, or snacking. Think chocolate, egg-replacers, sugar (yes, a lot of sugar isn’t strictly vegan!), vegan ‘butter’, and veggie-gelatin.
